The Arnold Arboretum has created a special virtual learning page on its website that can be found here: arboretum.harvard.edu/virtual-learning. Additionally, the Arboretum offers two Interactive Virtual Learning (IVL) programs for upper elementary school classes: Ecosystems looks at the interaction of producers, consumers, and decomposers in a disturbed ecosystem, and Trees in Winter examines evergreen and deciduous trees’ adaptations to survive winter.  Both programs last approximately 45 minutes.

To schedule the Ecosystems program contact Ana Maria Caballero at acaballeromcguire@fas.harvard.edu. To schedule the Trees in Winter program, contact Nancy Sableski at nancy_sableski@harvard.edu.

The Arboretum’s YouTube channel is also an incredible resource. Take a look at the nature stories playlist, which combines stories, art, nature, and more!
